[Concept]
Tokyo is a three-wheel, single-seat electric kart that we designed and built as a team, from the first drawing to the first lap. Tubular chassis, independent suspension, disc brakes and a battery that drives it all. We modelled it, broke it down, welded it and tested it on track. It was named the best project of the semester.
Around the car we built its brand, Tokyo. A logo on the seat, team shirts, an assembly manual, fabrication drawings and the Tokyo Daily, our own newspaper that told the process like a racing team would. Everything came from the vehicle and everything goes back to it. I led the creative side and was part of the whole process.
Nine of us made it: Manuela Cárdenas, Tomás Ochoa, Isabela Zapata, Salomé Henao, Andrés Flautero, María José Otálvaro, María Camila Mariaca, Manuela Cataño and me.
